Hello.

I'm kristine anthis, PhD, the founder of IFS Dating & Matchmaking.

As a matchmaker with a clinical background in couples therapy, I bring a level of psychological insight to matchmaking that most people seeking a partner simply don't have the professional training to apply on their own.

My work is for high-achieving, self-aware professionals who want lasting connection. Values are easy to name — what's potentially more disruptive in a relationship is recognizing when an unhealed part of you, shaped by old attachment wounds, is quietly working against those very values before, during, or after a date.

I help you notice the parts of you carrying anxious and/or avoidant attachment patterns inside (with your Self energy) and out (with another person and their parts), struggles in emotional regulation, limiting beliefs (such as feeling "too much" or "not enough"), limiting beliefs about money (such as parts, who when activated, behave as extreme savers or spenders).

After working with me, you'll gain fresh self-awareness about how your own parts can get in your way, develop relationships with your parts so you can begin to speak for them and not from them in the moment with another person, and find real clarity about your unmet emotional needs — and who will enthusiastically help you meet your unmet needs.

That kind of self-understanding is what turns dating into lasting connection.

Beyond my PhD

I'm a Certified Matchmaker, IFS Institute trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy Levels 1, 2, & 3, in Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) Couples Therapy, and in Nonviolent Communication (NVC).

My Story

After helping so many disconnected and conflicted clients via IFS and IFIO Couples Therapy, I began to wonder how I could avert such from the beginning of couples’ lives.

I founded IFS Dating & Matchmaking to help people prevent future relationship struggles — and the painful consequences of such on their emotional well-being, their finances, their health, their families, their communities, etc.

Who I am

I am a mother, lesbian, and artist. Outside of helping others, I'm fond of being with family and friends, foraging for black licorice, and devouring detective novels.
